Financial Planning Associate

“It’s about listening to what people have to say the minute they walk in the door.”

Lane Spigner has the very important position of welcoming visitors and creating the first impression for those who enter the offices of Christopher Street Financial.  For many, taking the first step towards hiring a financial advisory firm can be intimidating, but Lane has the natural ability to set people at ease.  He makes clients feel like family when they visit, because he genuinely feels that way about them.

In addition to maintaining the firm’s environment and connecting with clients, Lane provides key administrative support.  He is responsible for creating the beautiful client report packages and presentations.  Lane’s creative experience has enabled him to assume responsibility for CSF’s marketing and web re-design.

It was Lane’s artistic aspirations that led him from his home town of Columbia, South Carolina.  After graduating with a B.A. in Visual Arts with a concentration in Painting and Print Making from Lander University, he taught Gold level ballroom dancing at Fred Astaire Dance Studios.  Then, he spent a combined eight years in San Francisco and Seattle working for famous chefs, such as Jeremiah Tower and Bobby Flay.  His time working in high-end restaurants attuned him to the joy of creating great service experiences.

Music brought Lane to New York City where he managed and composed music for various production music libraries -- including one for Sony/ATV (a music publishing company co-owned with The Michael Jackson Estate).  Then, in 2011 Lane was recruited to join Christopher Street Financial.  He’s thrilled to say he has finally found his dream position.

In his spare time Lane enjoys cold-water swimming as a member of the historic Coney Island Polar Bears (Est.1903), exercise and meditation, and mentoring people through life transitions.  Another interesting fact about Lane is that he has been a roller coaster enthusiast since age two.
